Yes I know what you are thinking. I am really on 'm' words today and you are right! I am kinda feeling the letter 'm' for some reason today. But hey you gotta go with inspiration.
So let's get focused on your 30 minutes.
Many faiths have rituals where you wake up and pray. Prayer is about centering yourself and creating an inner harmony. It is not just about the words you say as much as it is about getting in alignment with your focus. The world wants you to wake up and get in alignment with what they want for you. The news says, "wake up with us". But why? Do you really need to know who's house burned down last night, where there was a fatal shooting, the fact that a politician is corrupt? Nor do you need to know every accident on the freeway. Your GPS cares about you more than the traffic guy on TV. How do I know? Because you GPS is only concerned about the route you are taking to your destination. It is not going to keep giving you the bad news about an area that you are not even going. You don't need the weight of the worlds problem on your mind before you give yourself inner strength.
None of the negative of life should enter your brain during your '30 Magical Minutes'.
If you were to go work out or run you would probably want to stretch first.
When you wake up your brain deserves the same respect as your muscles.
Take the time to prepare your mind. A stretched mind is expanded and can achieve more!
Here are a few of my tips for making your morning lead you through a powerful day.
#1. If you have a spouse, you should roll over and hold them to connect. Don't just jump out of bed. Make sure they know you love them. Now if you prefer to tell them you love them I suggest you keep a mint under your pillow. That's just my personal thought. Hey if morning breath is an issue, "I love you" can turn out being foul language. HA!!!!!
Okay let's get back to it. #2. Get up and pray! Take the time to be thankful and pray for success in what you want. I am not concerned in which God you pray to. You may even speak a prayer into the universe. Just taking that time to really get in harmony with your desires can make a huge difference in your motivation.
#3. Go look over your goals for the month and for the day. Then look at your tasks for the day. Make sure you have the most urgent things first. Map out a plan to efficiently get through your day.
#4. Grab a good book. Take the time to read at least 10 pages of something you like. Yes I recommend my book 'Running With Finishers'. Truly that is not the purpose of this blog. There are 100's of books in my library that I have read. Just grab a book and grab an idea for the day. Preferably a book that inspires you, but pleasure reading is okay sometimes. REMEMBER your magical 30 minutes is about you warming up your soul to take on the day.
#5. On the way to work or wherever listen to a good audio. Once again the news can wait. I have a few favorites. One of them is the Joel Osteen channel on satellite radio. No matter when I tune in there is always some great motivational stuff! No you don't have to be Christian to listen. He is speaking universal truths that will help anyones life.
My favorite is my new audio on my site called 'Driving to Your Destination'. Yes even I learn something by listening to it. It reminds me to be the best person I can be for the day.
It is 30 minute audio I recorded to keep a person company and get fired up on the way to a destination. Download it for free. Share with your friends. Just my gift to the world to help make you 30 Magical Minutes matter everyday. Be blessed and go be great!
